Good to see someone whose mind is changing. Your next breakthrough will be realizing that for practical purposes, there is no such thing as reality. That's just your definition of normalcy. But that's determined by what population you hang out with. The SJWs and the Proud Boys view their surrounds rather differently. They both consider those surrounds reality.

Doesn't matter who US companies are willing to do business with. China, Russia, and Israel have the brainpower and educational infrastructure to develop and sell these tools. And more important, all three countries (for different reasons perhaps) promote the sense of collective identity instead of maximizing individual benefits.

It would be horrible to live in the real world facing your own powerlessness, just like the BLM (and others) crowds has done.

This is the claim of bigots of all stripes. Equality is NOT impossible. Equality doesn't mean every person is or has the same as everyone else. (Racial) equality means that a random pool of white people has the average benefits as a a random pool of nonwhite people. Explain why that's impossible!

Next thing you'll be saying is that the purpose of patents is to serve the public interest. Yeah, right. If patents and copyrights were abolished tomorrow, creative people would,still create. They might also have to have a productive day job as well. Like selling life insurance.

I don't know many people that think it's fine to drive without a license. Or to drive when intoxicated. That's not freedom; that's sociopathy.

And just how did such goods get into the supply chain? Amazon should have ensured they were pulped. Of course Amazon is going to virtue-signal by screaming that they're counterfeit. Factories have more than a single loading dock. And more than a single assembly site.

There will always be people purchasing crap products. Maybe they're not just stupid. Maybe all they can do is believe corporate lies and hope. That's the antithesis of what I call "freedom".

That's absurd. Sellers will do anything the govt lets them get away with. That's why govts belong in commerce, to limit greed and deception, not to determine how much of what should be produced. If you want to manufacture hula-hoops, go ahead. But the govt DOES belong in making sure those hula-hoops don't slice kids to ribbons.

I've reported counterfeit products to Amazon. At best, I see them again under a different seller.

Right now there may be two manufacturers in China making oral fever thermometers with no attempt at any quality control. There are far more vendors packaging and selling them. They bubble up and endure like carbonation in soda-pop.

Trump is not the sad part. It's his followers who are.
