Yes, it's being lazy to not want to have to work for the last 2 decades of your life (if you're lucky).
"The American Dream" was the ideology that you've been brainwashed with, and it shows. There are countries that are exploring 4 day work weeks, basic income, and not working overtime.
Guess what they found? Productivity for 4 day work weeks was about the same as Fridays were already coasting days. People were happier under basic income as they no longer felt like they had to earn a decent wage or suffer. People enjoyed their weekends and downtime way more than when beholden to working longer hours from overtime.
The pandemic made the idiots in charge realise that working from home and flex hours isn't going to cost them money. Eventually, all people will realise that your worth is not based on your job role, your hours worked, where you work, how much you earn, or not having to prove how hard you can work.
Shame the right wing idiots in the UK government are too busy worrying about Roald Dahls books being updated to not quite be so abhorrent to our current social norms instead of trying to come up with something to undo brexit.
But then again, they caused it along with their fawning newspapers, so looks like the UK is going to have to pay the piper for believing their media.
