Comment Great news (Score 2) 58

Seems like ticks are spreading more and more, and I live in a tick infested area (border area between Canada(Quebec) and USA(Vermont, New York), however I've yet to see one, my neighbours seems to see them almost everyday... (I got the feeling he doesn't know what a tick looks like).

And Lyme disease seems pretty nasty with so many possible symptoms and ailments.... I'll be one of the first inline if this trial works out well.

Comment Many reasons (Score 2) 540

Many reasons, lack of recognition, no fulfillment, long commute, work hours, and never really got long with the boss.

When I changed jobs, I went form working a 40 hour work week to 35, 90 minute commute each way down to 12-30 minutes depending on traffic, 4 weeks vacation from 3, a better salary, and a much for fulfilling job and environment ... I should have switched much sooner. When you don't feel like going in to work because of several factors.... you need to reconsider your job. I've been at my new job now for almost 8 years, and I love it. Getting up in the morning is not a chore to get ready to go to work, I don;t call in sick just because I'm sick and tired of the job. I'm so much better off mentally and physically. I save around 15 hours a week if I count commute and work hours..... 15 extra hours for me a week.... that's huge!

Comment Good, page turn buttons! (Score 2) 171

Expensive, I don't see myself upgrading since my old kindle still works fine and has page turn buttons. I hate models with the touch interface to turn pages, give me a reader that I can hold and turn pages with just 1 hand and I am happy. I still use an old Kobo as well for this reason, page turn buttons.

Comment Nice, we've had this for a few years now. (Score 3, Informative) 100

Montreal has had this for a few years (BIXI), hasn't been profitable yet but many people use it and enjoy it for the couple of months when it's available (usually early May to November if I remember correctly). https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmontreal.bixi.com%2F

Comment What is it about the Nook? (Score 0) 132

I have an older Kindle, and 2 Kobo's. I've never tried a Nook (can't recall ever seeing one in a store up here in Canada but the Kobo's can be found in lots of stores) so I can't tell if it's better or not. I don't tend to judge by features only, I like trying them out. A big selling point with me is there needs to be a button to turn the page and it has to be comfortable to hold with 1 hand while turning pages, something you can't really do with touch gestures to turn pages. Basically when I'm asking is, what does Nook bring to the table that the others do not?
