Now, I'm used to comments like that here. (Although those people are why I stopped displaying my email address in my posts.)

But we've now hit the point where the above quote comes from the forum at The New Republic! This is certainly a glorious new world of communication we've entered!

There are trolls everywhere you look. They do not obey political party lines nor are they weeded out through education, money, race or religion. Unfortunately, that old Pogo quote is correct.... "we have met the enemy and he is us."

When I saw the quote, it immediately reminded me of a song lyric. After 30 seconds of Googling for it, I think it might be a reference to "Message to Harry Manback" from Tool's Aenima album. (Lyrics for the whole album are available at this site [down.net] among other places)
