Journal Oculus Habent's Journal: My New Site 3

Five days ago, I bought armyofnone.com. Today, I've got the start of a site. It's a bit of a throw-together -- just a few hours work, and a bit broken -- but I am interested in your thoughts on it. Hoping for emphasis on the design & usability likes & dislikes. Be brutal.

  • A bit throw together? I wish my website would look like that after a few hours... But my CSS and graphic abilities are so bad, that I wouldn't even manage that after 40 hours of work.

    Of course, I didn't look at it in IE ;-))

  • Hi. Long time listener, first time caller. I like the layout of the nav area in the top left, but I don't like the colors and look. The pictures in the background give the page a soft feel while the nav area feels more hard and ridged. The colors of the nav area don't seem to match the colors for the rest of the page. When I say that, I'm looking mainly at the main page. In firefox 2.0rc2, the titles of some of the items are shifted to the right due to the nav area while the content is fully to the left. Fo
