Those requirements have no function in solving the problem at hand. The vehicles of the fire brigade being red is a non functional requirement. The fire brigade would be as effective with blue or green vehicles. This renders "red" a non functional requirement, because legislation still demands the vehicles to be red.

No. Jargon (which is a French word probably trying to mimic either gibberish or bird sounds) means a non-standardized variety of language specific to a small group, may it be professional, regional or social.

Yes, that means that words have a very specific meaning within that group, which is usually not understood outside of that group. And that is also true for "bandwidth", which in this context does not mean the actual width of a ribbon, but the collective manpower of the team addressed in this speech. Yes. The example is pure jargon.

Single family homes don't collide with walkable cities. The American suburb is just very badly designed. British suburbs for instance have a walking path behind the properties accessible via the back entrance, and provide shortcuts for pedestrians. And while a cul-de-sac design makes sense for cars, to block through-traffic, it does not make sense for walking paths, because through-traffic is not really a problem with pedestrians. Additionally, here around, public transport can use through-roads not accessible for cars, because they are blocked off by bollards which will sink into the ground if activated by a local bus to provide temporary access.

I don't own a car. And I pay about $600 a year for public transport (that's what the one-year ticket for all public transport in my region costs. And no, this is not the famous Deutschlandticket). One problem hence is solved. I will not have to fill 1/8 of a gas tank, I don't have to pay maintenance and insurance on a car. Privately owned cars are a huge financial burden.

I don't see the value in going out for lunch, and I try to avoid this as much as possible. And no, I don't order door dash either. I happen to know how to prepare a meal. This was one of the problems when being in the office. Our branch office was so small we didn't have a cantina, so we had to go out for lunch, which I think is expensive and a waste of time.

Oh my god, dude, how much are the gas companies paying you?

You run into the same things with gas cars. Oh, I'll just pop into the gas station on the way to work. If it's open when I'm driving to work. If it's not busy. If the pumps aren't down. If you don't mind standing there in the weather pumping for five minutes. If you don't mind the gas stench. If you remembered your wallet. If if if.
