Why are series 6 Intel CPUs not supported? My laptop has a TPM and secure boot but has an i5 6200U. Been running Windows 11 flawlessly for months now.

In 2009 my boss walked in and said we need to support IE 6. I quit was my reply. He didn't believe me and started to discus how he had just scored a big client that only has IE 6 on their SOE. I said not going to happen, you will need to get them to add Chrome to their SOE or I am out.

Then my Dad gets it, then my nephew or niece. My niece is currently using my 6 year old Galaxy S5 just fine. Dad is using my Galaxy S7. I will pass my current S10 down the line when I feel the need for a new phone.

My primary school taught computers back in 1983 we only had one computer so it was mainly watching the teacher with a little bit of hands on. We did basic and logo on Apple IIe computers. By grade 10 we were were doing advanced BASIC in PC DOS labs and year 12 in 1988 we were doing Pascal.

The MiSTer rocks. You only need 128MB if you are a NeoGeo fan and want to play a very small handful of the largest NeoGeo roms. 32MB will run 84% of the NeoGeo library and every single other core perfectly fine. $200 for the DE10-Nano and $20 for a 32MB module will have you rocking a MiSTer just fine. The 8GB induced SD card is enough for me as I stream all my larger games such as CD titles over the network.

Look into the MiSTer FPGA project. Best was to play the classics. Not as much is supported as with MAME, but what is supported rocks.

I mainly play on my PC but have a PS4 for for Sony exclusives and a Switch for the Nintendo ones. It is also very expensive to get a gaming PC. My i5 4690K was the duck's nuts 5 years ago but is starting to struggle in a few games. I looked into getting a Ryzen 5 3600 but I could not justify the cost for a new power supply, motherboard, RAM and CPU. I will eventually get a new gaming PC but will stick with my old faithful for the time being.

I never played a PC Engine or TurboGrafix back in the day and have been loving exploring it's library. But I have also been loving playing the SNES and Genesis games I missed out on back in the day. Also loving reliving some of the golden arcade games like Galaga, Gyruss, Frogger, Commando, Rygar. The price is pretty steep if compared to a Raspberry Pi but the experience is worth it. Cycle accurate low latency FPGA recreation of classic consoles usually gives a better experience over software emulators.
