The voting system is the problem. This does not require constitutional change:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

Each state can change their elections for the House of Representatives to something better, like ranked choice single transferable vote in multi-seat constituencies. Changing presidential elections would require constitutional change, but the main problem with American politics appears not to be the presidency, but that the house is completely dysfunctional, refusing to hold the presidency to account in some cases, being unable to pass budgets, parties taking absurd positions because they are the opposite of the position already claimed by the only opposition, etc.

Good grief, our species is garbage. The EU only more so

In most EU countries, there is an expectation of honesty in business dealings. Yes, there are always shady characters, but America seems to have an ingrained business culture of trying to fuck everyone else over. I'm not certain why that leads you to the conclusion that it is the EU that is garbage in comparison.

No, I don't think I did miss the point. Saying that AI consciousness is impossible is religion. Accusing people of being satanic for performing AI research just shows the thin skin of people who devoutly believe in their false gods. They don't want science filling any more gaps in our collective knowledge, because the reason to believe in a god has always been to explain things we don't understand.

Yet in the context of Palintir, since it is 'evil,' everybody will adopt the opposite opinion immediately and presume that offering workers a job directly out of highschool is abusive.

To be honest, I would say Palantirs policy, while possibly working out well for those 22 students, is irrelevant to the other 99.9994% of students graduating this year.

The quest for AI is just Satanists trying to become God by creating life. There's no science or understanding behind it.

There you have it folks! All the science you need to know: God did it.

Irrelevant. I call my manager a cunt to his face at least once every in every 10 minutes of interaction I have with him. If I didn't, he'd probably get worried something was wrong. Whether or not this woman is telling the truth about her working conditions, any boss who fires someone for something as trivial as telling them they are a dickhead deserves a quick sharp boot in the hole.
