Not entirely sure what to make of that response. Obviously sarcastic while referring to carbon credits, could be a climate science denier. More obvious sarcasm saying you feel better when I point out it isn't as bad as the title suggests, suggesting you are saying it is still bad. I shouldn't be replying to this, but you are fucking annoying. Completely useless and ambiguous sarcasm. Allow me to be clear about my position; climate change is real, it is caused by humans, we should try to stop it, and big tech are contributors. That doesn't mean you're allowed to just make shit up. Facts matter, accuracy is important. The title of this article, copied from Reuters, is incorrect. If you allow sloppy journalism to slide, you are encouraging the denialist rhetoric claiming deliberate falsehoods by people who actually give a fuck about reality.

As example, some very poor countries are rich in materials that get exported to the US, but have little purchasing power to import goods from the US. Them having a trade deficit is physiological and nothing at all "the US being ripped off" as it was presented.

Nonsense, if they are exporting materials they should have money to spend on other finished goods or materials from us.

The target should be as close to balanced trade as possible.

Yeah sure, as long as they aren't also exporting the profits. There are these things called international corporations involved in mining.

I only really remember one out of all the sermons I've heard. As an atheist, I only go to churches for weddings and funerals. This was a funeral, when the local parish priest was on holiday, so they wheeled out some guy from whatever retirement home they keep priests in, and he gave a wonderful sermon about how great the Waldensian crusade was. Pretty sure none of the farmers in the congregation had any clue what he was on about, but I did cover Milton's poetry in school, and remembered "On the Late Massacre in Piedmont".

I just don't get it. From where I stand, that guy's a fraud A to Z. There is nothing appealing about him. Horrible character, lies all the time, has an ego so big the Sun would orbit him if he had gravity.

Here's the answer to your question:

That is literally what the democrats are trying to do with immigration, and voter ID laws.

Trump and Trump supporters want actual citizens to decide the fate of the country...not have it decided by a bunch of people that just showed up from countries where they, as citizens of those countries, could not create a successful society.

Too many Americans believe this horseshit. You can thank Rupert Murdoch, the Koch brothers, the oil & tobacco lobbies, etc. for training generations of Americans to lap up whatever bullshit they spout as facts.

You did not address the point I made. Claiming that a ~0.001% increase in total payroll for the US economy is going to cause massive inflation is ridiculous at best, and obscenely dishonest at worst. Some businesses may be more affected than others, but your business being close to insolvency is no excuse for slave wages.
