So... it's compiled... like literally every other program every made?

What exactly makes compiled code special? EXEs are compiled code. The term "run-only" is stupid. You have to be able to read the thing to run it, and the computer can read bytes just fine, so... where's the problem?

Most people do not take that kind of time to comparison shop. If they can just deliver me the damn towels, then that's fine, I do not have brand loyalty toward most household products, nor do I need to molest my items in order to determine that it's a paper towel.

Claiming that because we're raising the issue of fake news and its impact to American's doesn't mean that we're full on Venezuela Communist now and to assert such is assinine.

The "Convington boys" were bused to an anti-abortion march and allowed to wear MAGA hats by their school. Many things failed to create the circumstances that lead to those boys feeling the need to do what they did and none of those failures were the media. Making boys as part of their school field trip decide the fate of women's reproductive rights was failure number one and failure number two as allowing school children to wear MAGA hats and incite the coverage they deserved their own own actions. Why would school bus boys from OK to protest women's reproductive rights and allow them to wear MAGA hats and then let them get involved in making political statements that they then sued to hide? Why would these boys or the school need a PR Firm?

What you are doing is projection. You're blaming others for your own actions as if being a liberal or having liberal media is the problem. The media reported on these kids and if they didn't want to be used for the propaganda they shouldn't have been sent for propaganda.

It's actually super relevant. A lot of people use it, i get ribbed for using it all the time but have no problems using it as my default search engine in the USA. I hear it can suck in foreign countries, but that's not a problem for me.

Lots of people enjoy bing.. great image search, great SERP design for common topics and they're continuously improving it. They have public conferences once a month where there are thousands of people on the phone hearing about new features and testing new services. It's huge, but written off by so many for reason i fail to understand. (again, unless you don't use US searches.. i can't speak for anywhere else)

Millions of people use it for bing rewards too.. its nice getting free music, games, xbox live points et all just for doing what you would normally do anyway.

Actually, as soon as we were notified of the issue, the plugin was closed and hidden on a temporary basis until we had time to evaluate the problem. Once we had done so, I personally created a new version of the plugin, without the malicious code, and pushed it to the repository in order to get the update out to the affected users. The existing committers were all removed, leaving the plugin entirely in the hands of the plugin team. The latest version is now safe and will not be otherwise until we determine the full details of what happened here.

Full disclosure is great, but some advance notice longer than a day or so helps a lot. We will always protect our users to the best of our ability, but sometimes, we get blind sided. It happens. Nobody posts about the dozens of other times we fix things before they get exploited. Not judging, just saying.

You are correct in many ways, but let's not forgot, a lot of people simply don't comprehend Windows 10 and its depth/reach.

Windows 10 already has 150+ million installs, Windows 10 is the "UWP" - Universal Windows Platform. With a single development methodology to target Phone, Xbox One, Windows 10 on Tablets and Windows 10 on desktop.

I think a lot of people are writing off "mobile" on the concepts set forth by Apple & Android without thinking "Universal" where win10 already has a sizeable market share that it seems *absurd* companies aren't trying to monopolize especially considering how easy it is to enter this market. in Windows 10 UWP an app isn't "mobile" its "connected" and it works across a huge and growing platform base.
