The problem with Political Correctness

  • I found it more interesting that the link he gave was to the Relationship Change page instead of to the comment itself. Quite a poignant little Freudian slip.

His sources on population distribution are sound. It's bonafide US Census [census.gov]. The part about blacks scoring lower sounds very familiar [futureofchildren.org] too.

It only goes wrong when he allows his prejudices to take charge of drawing the conclusions.

Yep, especially considering there are countries that are 90% black while also having very high literacy rates.

I'd say the factors leading to minority underachevement in the US have nothing to do with inherent ablity and much to do with other factors.

Still refraining from calling anyone other than actual Nazis, a Nazi is probably a good idea. There are many ways of saying you find someone's comment disgusting, abborent
      • Well, there is protection against insults. If you establish that "Nazi" is simply an insult in modern English vernacular, and that it would be obvious to any reader that it were an insult, and not a statement of fact, then they really can't do much about it. (Such as sue for defamation, i.e. libel or slander.)

I can call someone a "cocksucker" without providing evidence that he actually indeed does suck cock. Why? Because cocksucker is an insult. Why should we treat "Nazi" any different in modern America
      • One of them has already ceased their relationship with me, which I find even more amusing. A hint to all: If Political Correctness means that you need to self-censor by removing your relationships with people, then it is you who has become the bigot.
