Journal Mantorp's Journal: So my PC crashed 6
and I had to rebuild from the factory restore, I'm now caught up again with XP home sp2, but I'm trying to decide which mediaplayer to stick with.
Instead of having real, yahoo, musicmatch, winamp, ms mediaplayer, itunes, etc ad nauseum I want one lightweight, small footprint mediaplayer. One that doesn't hog all my cpu cycles and RAM. Most of the time it'll just play mp3 files and if it could easily burn the current playlist that would be a bonus.
Any ideas?
VLC or MediaPlayer Classic (Score:2)
You'll play it all. Sound and Vision.

I second this...
Look for the "K-Lite Code Pack" (includes media player classic). Take the "Full" one. Enjoy all multimedia goodness.
I only use VLC for DVD playback, but Media Player Classic can do it too, I think.
