Journal Luke727's Journal: What the fuck?!?! 1

Ok. I had a colonoscopy at the end of January. After the procedure, the doctor gave me a brief overview (everything went well) and said to schedule an appointment with his office to go over the lab results when they get in (he took a few samples). So I called his office today and set up an appointment. The earliest open spot is ***JULY*** . What. The. Fuck. I thought the receptionist was confused, so I made sure she understood what I was asking for and she told me that this is the standard time frame (3 to 4 months after the procedure). You only get to see the doctor immediately if the results of the procedure are bad. I was somewhat incredulous, but I took the offer after she started getting a bit impatient with me. I don't know if this is an industry standard practice, but that shit just doesn't sound right to me. It's such a long time that the results might not even be relevant any more. Fuck. I could develop colon cancer and die before I see him again.
