Journal Luke727's Journal: Amazon.com 6

One thing that drives me fucking nuts is the price sorting on Amazon.com. Usually an item is sold by various merchants, either new or in used condition. For example, ItemX may be sold by MerchantA new for $15 while it is sold by MerchantB used for $5. Amazon.com's price sorting uses $5 as the price. As far as I know, there is no way to sort by price for new items. I generally don't like to buy used items, so this is really annoying. Even if you DO like to buy used items, this doesn't differentiate between conditions. You don't know if that $5 is for a "Like New" item or a "Acceptable" item until you click through to the merchant page for each individual product. In addition to that, you don't really know what the criteria are for those categories and you have to trust that the seller categorized it accurately.
