The only reason anyone even noticed was he became CEO and therefore was subjected to more scrutiny. This is warranted for exactly the reason you describe. It didn't matter as much when he was only CTO, because he didn't have that level of control.
I'm highly skeptical of large neural networks but think optimized neural networks can provide superior results to our own programming efforts which can be equally unpredictable due to edge cases.
I think neural nets have a place in industrial control, but it's only for sub-processes which are also guarded by watchdogs which prevent really OOB behavior.

You might argue that communism is impossible, but the obvious retort is that capitalism is unsustainable and leads to plutocracy, which is just a specific kind of oligarchy.
Therefore what we can really conclude is not that communism or even capitalism is itself the problem, it's tolerating inequality.
