all that is needed is a hard prohibition on integrated power generation on the same site as AI data centers, even having power for the center is ok but it must be outside the perimeter of the building such that the transformers can be shot out if necessary in an emergency

so proton mail is for criminals only, not for journalists or activists

at those speeds, proper motorcycle equipment, particularly helmets, are needed. these vehicles are electric motorcycles being sold as bicycles anything that charges by mains electricity rather than regenerative braking should be regulated as a motorcycle

bikes are viewed as a menace because so many cyclists are shitheads and blow through red lights and stop signs, ride on sidewalks endangering pedestrians, and change lanes without signalling (how many even know their hand signals? not even 1 in 10 actually signals while cars almost always do except BMW I have seen no evidence that the OEM signals work on those cars)

the $5000 dollar bread that's $10000 by the time you get to the store

Who does number two work for!

the drone will identify the coordinates of your laser turret so you will face rocket artillery or shells or mortars quickly, anything like that will have to keep moving

AI spreadsheets: excel, but sometimes were going to fuck up the math.

that puts the risk where it belongs, the users running janky unsupported hardware.

leaving the old unsafe drivers available through windows puts every windows user at risk.

very noticeable in NY, Since 202 you don't have all the trash stuck at every fence line and wooded area

generative AI is fundamentally just predicting the most likely next token (word-ish) based on the prior, it's autocorrect on crystal meth.

it has no comprehension of anything it says or does, it just generates valid text based on the analysis of immense amounts of previously harvested text.

hallucinated citations are because AI does know what a valid citation should look like and where to expect to find one, so it puts one where you should find one, and it makes one that looks like it has seen before so the formatting and naming should sound plausible

the right answer is to establish a standardized cloud service protocol so that a user of any device can link to any cloud backup service and operate equally, whether it's google drive, iCloud, oneDrive, or a user operated home service.

setup should be as simple as entering the URL and login credentials

it's a cheating service, but they are doomed because chatGPT will do it for free

nobody gives a shit about energy star for TVs and stereos

energy star matters for large appliances that use a lot of energy or hot water
