Journal KshGoddess's Journal: Stopped for a while... Maybe settling. 9

We've stopped, and are in one of those extended stay hotels in Colorado Springs. Thankfully, it's one with internet access. Actually, we went another place first, asked if they had internet access, and they didn't, so we moved on.

The short list:
I'm currently watching L&O: SVU.
We're looking for a house to rent, and for jobs.
I miss my kitties, my TiVo, and not having neighbors who should be on Jerry Springer -- they kept us up until 1am last night, fighting and screaming at each other.

I need my routines back; sleeping, waking, and eating at odd hours is driving me insane. As is the fact that the Cartoon Network on this hotel-tv has a buzz over it. :(

    • that's ok. we're in a settling kind of mood; colorado springs is high-tech enough to have jobs, and small-city enough to have nice people. everyone we've met so far has been really nice.

I know they are looking for an office person out there bef
        • My company *is* hiring for a QA person. I don't know what the salary is, but here's part of the posting:

Sounds interesting; any idea about the visa side? Any more info?

I did some QA for a big Delphi web application on NT - not my favorite environment, but the project manager got a medal for it ['services to education' - it was a university-run math testing suite] so it can't have been that bad ;-)

  • Mz. Goddess,

Just s short message, since I didn't write to your last journal entry, and I'm feeling rather ill (head/chest cold).

Good luck. Keep us updated. You know there's a million geeks out there keeping up with your every entry. :) Only a few of us are actually writing.

  • I'm glad to hear you found a place you may like. Good luck!

Oh, and you were right about Animal Crossing. It's a great game. Thanks for telling me about it.
