Trashing the system is hysterical? I think not. (I'm not THAT clueless, ellem.) That would just equate to even more work for me. If I were to mess with aliasing ls, I likely would do something along the lines of ls='ls > /dev/null' or some such foolishness.

Actually, I suppose he would only mess up his own work unless I have to give him root priviledges (which is likely). It would still be on me to get his lost work back, assuming there was a backup made.

gcc cmd.c /usr/bin/msdos
mv a.out
And set his shell to that...
Then, any command he enters will always be wrong. (And yeah, that *should* compile, but all I have access to right now is MSVC++ 7.1 (aka .NET 2003)).
Should work... don't have access to a Linux box right now to test it out, though.

Last night was the first time I have seen him in a couple of weeks. He was in the front yard and was nibbling away on the grass, but he bolted when I went outside and sat on the steps to watch him. I am not sure where he has been hiding, and I was starting to worry about him, but at least I know he is still around.
