It's not that difficult: the Google+ folks want real-world info for ad-tracking, while the other systems (YouTube, etc) don't care as long as you're viewing their stuff.

Anyone can edit Wikipedia. The question is, may you edit Wikipedia? Sure, as long as you don't break the rules. And if you call "vandalism" an "unexplained self-concocted reason," I'd have to question your motives for editing.

When her daddy's the sheriff, I'd say that qualifies as extenuating circumstances. At the very least, he could argue that he had the permission of the legal authority to sleep with her. Probably wouldn't fly in court but, then again, it was never about actually prosecuting him. It was about punishing him publicly.
