Comment Re:The EU is waking up (Score 0) 81

We've been waiting since 1992 and we'll keep on waiting until 2992. Europe always looks backwards. They never rise to catch the lightning, to ride the new wave: always playing it safe. Just wait and see: this scary new thing will go away. And then the scary thing stays, and becomes bigger and bigger. Just wait and see: it's a temporary fad, it will burst like a bubble. But then the scary thing takes over and it's: the nasty 'murricans are envious of us superior yooropeans and they hold us down with their nasty 'murrican things! And they keep doing that over and over again.

Good luck. It's not going to happen. It would have happened decades ago if it was possible. The EU has sat out the internet revolution and everything that followed:no euro IT and web giants, nowhere. Euros are simply not as smart as they would like to think. :)

The N-1 was an abject failure, without cryofuels it could only carry air into orbit. The design was overly complex and it failed, failed, failed, and failed again, while the Saturn V never failed once. Not once. The Soviet owed all of their success to Sergei Korolev, to the point that not only the space program revolved around him and a lot of his own pet visions, but once he died they were pretty much lost in space. Meanwhile having won the Moon Race, the US winded down which was a mistake.

Comment Re:Why do they do this (Score -1) 166

Europe is not about freedom, but about conformity. The European mindset is: "I think and act like my neighbours and as the government mandates, therefore I'm safe and good." The average european marches down the streets with banners and arms raised when it's told do, and does not march down the streets with banners and arms raised when it's told not to. The average european heils the sieg when it's told to, and does not heil the sieg when it's told not to. The average european engages in untermenschextermienierung when it's told do, and does not engage in untermenschextermienierung when it's told not to. Europeans are like this. Believe me, I live among them and they're quite a scary bunch.
