I agree, the real danger of this is that the documentation requirements will swiftly become so complex and verbose that only an AI can write them, and only an AI can read them. Humans will no longer even know what the effect of the documentation requirements is, they can only hope some of the remaining original purpose (keep the reactor safe) survives the AI rewrite.

The last way to look at this is a way to start the process of diversifying our Tech holdings. Windows, Office, Adobe, VMWare etc. But here is my take, STEAM is showing the way out. We're not there yet, but the tide appears to be turning (to keep the nautical terms going).

As Eric Raymond (ESR) says, AI is a force multiplier. My elaboration: If you are good at what you do, it will let you do accomplish more good stuff faster. If you are not very bright, AI will let you be not bright more efficiently, but it won't make you bright. It's just a tool. It needs to be utilized correctly. There is no shortage of things in this world that can do tremendous damage if not used properly. AI is nothing new in that regard.

There are legitimate criticisms to make about AI, and ways to support and defend those arguments. You are not doing that.
