Journal Interrobang's Journal: Technical Technical Technical Writing! 13

I just (I think) landed a contract to document a SDK for the software program for which I've re-written the help files twice!! I'm a bit apprehensive, though, because (as everyone knows who's been here a while) I'm a technical writer, not a programmer, dammit, and this project looks to be very technical, considering that the end-users are shareware developers! Well, if nothing else, I've got a lot of people to ask, and maybe I can come out of this not a programmer, but able to play one on tv! ;)

I don't have the final project specs yet, but I'm billing them at my usual hourly rate, so I don't know how long I'm going to be working yet, or how much I'll make, but I guess things are looking up.

So I'm sitting here seat-bopping to dance music and feeling all right. Finally!

Later Update #2 comma slightly OT: I just called my mom to tell the home folks about this stuff, and I told her about my recent adventures in music, that I was sitting here listening to Hebrew disco. She said, "Hebrew disco?!" (laughs) "Is that a religious experience for you?"

Sometimes my mom gets it. That's a rare enough occurrence to be worth writing down in a JE, but still...
