Comment Preview of 5.10 Not Affected (Score 2, Informative) 520
I installed the beta of Breezy 5.10 and /var/log/installer/cdebconf/questions.dat *did not* contain my password. Looks like this only affected the final release.
Do not underestimate the value of print statements for debugging. Don't have aesthetic convulsions when using them, either.
