I also had this problem. I tried DarkBasic, XNA and a few others and had a hard enough time getting a object to render let alone implement game logic.
I found Unity via Kotaku and messed around with it for a day and fell in love with it. I was amazed by how easy it was to do the some simple things that I could not figure out with XNA. Something as simple as making one object follow another was as simple as creating 2 primitives and assigning a a 5 line script to the follower.
I have become distracted by the new WoW expansion but over the next week I'm going to try and build a simple tower defense game to learn the scripting better.
You can also check into the UDK but I found Unity alot simpler to start with.
they'll probably have poor Shepard...taking out the ship's garbage.
You can already do that if you have Zaeed.
Expensive? I thought it was standard cable. I guess it would be expensive if you dont use any other cable TV channel.
If I had to I could change my car's oil my self. The proublem is I have no idea where/how to dispose of or recycle the oil, whereas Jiffy Lube does. Also, it takes Jiffy Lube 10 min to change the oil whereas I could end up spending a hour or more.
I wish I had mod points because this is the same question I have. I can understand why 16:9 is the standard for TV but I always thought 16:10 was the best for computer use.
Thanks for the info. I have been looking for a decent 16:10 monitor for a while now.
If you accumulate demerits then should it not read "gain 2 demerits"?
By my understanding, losing 2 demerits is the same as gaining 2 merits.
When I was in high school, there was no sci fi at all on any of the reading lists unless you want to count 1984, which isn't really sci fi. This is not because there were no great sci fi novels, this was only back in the mid 90s, but because all the crusty academics that put together these lists can't consider anything made after their birth to be good to read.
I agree. There was too much 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and 'A Tale of Two Cities' for my taste in high school. I was lucky and got to read 'Lord of the Flys' instead of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and at least that was somewhat interesting. I dont know why, at the very least, '2001: A Space Odyssey' is not on every high school's reading list. At least that would give students a taste of sci-fi.
I am not 100% up to date on STO development but I believe some corridors and a few mini-games are suposed to be in for season 2.
I enjoyed the time I spent with the game. I got one character to max level and did a few raids all in my first free month. I tried to level a second character but I was doing the exact same missions in mostly the exact same way as my first character (I did not touch Klink cause I hate pvp).
I still plan on coming back for season two and enjoy all the cool additions (ready rooms for one).
I enjoy the time I spend with STO but it does not have the staying power that WoW or Final Fantasy for me.
So your complaining about DLC then?
DLC is no more missing from the game then the pre-order bonuses are. Was the DLC released months after the game came out also missing from the original game then? The game and story is perfectly fine without any of the DLC.
What does the AC mean by that? What content was missing?
Surprise due today. Also the rent.
