Did msmash mean "hardier?" Or are these livestock, thanks to genetic engineering, more enthusiastic and exuberant than other livestock? Perhaps they have enlarged hearts?
It also costs those who work from home more out of pocket. Is my employer paying for my internet connection and phone bill? No. The increase in my electric bill from not being able to program the thermostat to save money while nobody's here? No. I'm saving a bit on gasoline, but nothing on car insurance or maintenance. My water bill (really well-water conditioning/filtering costs) is up due to being home more. And on a related note my toilet paper costs are up, too, along with dishwasher detergent and kleenex. The cost savings in anti-separation-anxiety treatment for the dogs is eaten up by the increase in cost for maintaining my own semblance of sanity with an increase in the vodka budget. All in all I've considered it a fair trade, even if it tilts a bit toward higher personal expenses. Slap a 5% tax on that (employer paid - as if that doesn't trickle down and get called "rain"), and I've moving to Montana to raise me up a crop of dental floss.
My keyboard randomly transposes "W" for "B" sometimes. Kinda like Dominion vote-counting systems.
Those Trump-hating, antifa-associated idiots who plotted to kidnap Witch Gretchen? If you think that's right-wing terrorism you might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.
"I am Proctolio! I need IP for my codehole!"
"polaroids covered in seamen"
Ahoy! I do remember Polaroid instant cameras being large and bulky, but nothing approaching carrier size. Hell, not even pontoon boat size.
Where are the mod points when I need them? This post is spot-on.
The media is less "Fourth Estate" than "Lawn Jockey" anymore, and that's just sickening.
Where is Ralph Kramden when you need him?
Then why is a "trouser snake" a "trouser snake" and not a "pants snake"?
Slashdot needs a "Wrong" moderation - your post deserves it. N95 masks are typically fit tested in medical settings, though some facilities are skipping that requirement now since so many masks are being re-used. They also come in multiple sizes.
Compare Google's datacenter cooling use directly to the desert golf course use (looking at you, Phoenix/Scottsdale/Paradise Valley). Who's wasting more water per customer served?
The only breaking news *ever* reported first on Slashdot was CmdrTaco's marriage proposal.
That's a typo. Should say Inuit. They're taking on lots of new people for subsistence ice fishing, seal clubbing and dog mushing in the frozen North as that becomes an attractive option for social distancing.
