If that's what liberals do, why did you list off a bunch of communists? Liberalism and communism are NOT the same. I bet you consider fascism and the republican party to be one in the same as well.
Maybe try doing a search for "Political Spectrum chart". Or maybe just start here with good ol' Wikipedia and make use of that grey matter in your skull.

Alcohol may thin the blood which can benefit those with high cholesterol from having a heart attack. The production of fossil fuels is a very messy business, corporations don't just pull the oil from the ground and then ship it to gas stations. The refining process produces all sorts of emissions. Take the oil sands in Canada, if production of fossil fuels doesn't create emissions and pollution like you said, where is all the pollution/emissions coming from in that area? Why have I read about water table contamination in the area, multiple times over the years?

Let's say the governments of the world went ahead (they won't) and shutdown those 36 companies. Would global emissions drop? Of course they would. Eventually the fuel supply would run out and ALL OF US won't be able to produce said emissions. So yes, it is the company that should be held responsiblefor they are providing the product. Remove the product, remove the problem. If a drug dealer and a drug user are arrested, who ends up paying more in jail time? Exactly. Hold these companies responsible for the damage they are doing.

Most consumers don't have a choice... It is not a matter of "convincing" them to change. The average person drives the car available to them which is the one they can afford. If I had a choice to fuel my car in other ways that wouldn't financially ruin me, I would. The average Canadian brings in $60 000/year. The base Telsa model in Canada sells for $60 000 before taxes/fees. Whereas I can buy a decent used ICE car for $15 000. I don't know many people who are willing to buy a car at a 400% price increase and force them to struggle financially. The average person would help reduce emissions if they could afford it. My point is, until a financially feasible alternative is available, people are not going to switch. In addition, it doesn't help convince me to change when the public see politicians and celebrities flying around the world in private jets in order to attend lavish parties with other millionaires. Which produce more emissions in one day than I will produce in a single year. But it is mission critical that I change... not them.

What percentage of mobile users in the UK use an iPhone? In my experience, MOST Apple users don't care about tech, they just want a status accessory. So if that is the case in the UK as well, perhaps users just don't understand what is occurring living the "ignorance is bliss" model. In Canada for example, I would say iPhone represent about 10-15% of active devices. So it wouldn't be fair to say that the population as a whole doesn't care about security when the change only effects 1 in 10 people.

yeah and start World War 3 as you do so. Canada is not some pushover and will have endless allies (To start the UK, France and Germany) backing them up. If anything the US is on a path to isolating itself from the rest of the world and in doing so, will fade into irrelevance.

I used to think "I will never fill this 1GB drive!" It honestly felt it was unlimited storage at the time. Today my current system has a 1TB solid state drive and is attached to a 16TB NAS server. A 100TB drive in 5 years doesn't seem all that far fetched. It may not be in your common off the shelf machine by that time, but it will be available. Tech will continue to progress and one day 100TB will be looked back as minuscule. After all, 640KB of memory should be enough for anybody, right?

Who is this for? If somebody really wants to shift gears, wouldn't they just buy a manual transmission car? This is comparable to somebody saying driving a manual car when playing Grand Turismo on PlayStation is comparable to driving a real manual transmission. If you don't know what I mean, I'll tell you; it's not the same at all. I have always driven a manual...I love how in tune the driver is with the car when driving it. The driver can feel when the engine is being pushed, when it is cruising. Feeling the engine brake when you stomp on the clutch to downshift into a turn. It makes driving enjoyable for me for you feel you are one with the machine. It is the FEEL of the car that keeps people coming back to manual transmissions, not the actual act of shifting. When driving an automatic, you don't feel in control of the engine, you just feel like a passenger that manages the steering. By adding engine sounds just feels cheesy as hell to me and catering to people who completely miss the point, but want to feel cool or something??? I don't even know really.
