You, like many on the internet, seem to think you have a God-given right to anonymity. You are mistaken, and eventually enough jerks will misuse it so that Governments will force it to disappear. If you're too chickenshit to say it to someone's face, you shouldn't say it. While the internet is a great tool, it's also an empowering weapon that bad actors take advantage of, ie; bomb threats.

I wish eve made a dimmer! I have to stay with the original Wemo dimmers. For locks I went with the August Pro's because of the batteries in the WiFi version. I have had the same problems others have had with eve switches in some 3-way circuits (the new Wemo Thread switches experienced the same double-click problem) The funny thing is that Meross 3-way switches work perfectly where the eve & Wemo switches didn't.

I was going to standardize on Belkin switches - they worked well, looked good, and had a builtin night light to help you see where to push at night. Then they came out with their "improved" switches with Thread... and they removed the built-in light... WTF Belkin? On top of that they admitted that their Thread switches couldn't be firmware upgraded to Matter - if you wanted Matter, you'd have to buy all new switches... WTF#2 Belkin?? Thanks for pushing me to Eve for most of my HomeKit accessories!

Does ANYONE actually believe anything the Washington Post publishes??? These are the idiots that published an "Expose" on the $50 light bulb where they claimed regular bulbs ended up costing $5 less over their lifetime - except they used a kilowatt cost of 1 CENT/KWH as their basis. Like where in the world is electricity that cheap??? The Galapagos? You're better off buying a joke roll of toilet paper and getting your news off that than the Washington Post.

This is really too funny from a historical standpoint. At one time, WD bought drives from IBM and put their label on them until they could manufacture the equivalent type drives (IBM was cutting edge at the time) for themselves. Then IBM hit the problem with sticking heads on their Deskstar series, their reputation went down the tube, and they sold their drive business to Hitachi. Now WD is buying part of Hitachi's drive business, and will put their label on them. Of course, it's not quite as funny as the MiniScribe debacle.

Survey Shows That Fox News Makes You Less Informed 1352

A survey of American voters by World Public Opinion shows that Fox News viewers are significantly more misinformed than consumers of news from other sources. One of the most interesting questions was about President Obama's birthplace. 63 percent of Fox viewers believe Obama was not born in the US (or that it is unclear). In 2003 a similar study about the Iraq war showed that Fox viewers were once again less knowledgeable on the subject than average. Let the flame war begin!
