You are right, that is mosterish. No padding, no dancing around the issue.
You said that you'd accept God's will whatever happened, and it is His will that you father a little girl. I pray you turn out to be less of a monster than you predict, as much for her sake, as for yours. It'd be a shame to waste all that time not loving your child.

I remember facing a situation where one of my children would be born with defects. I think fear of my inability to deal with the situation produced some, but not all of the feelings you related. Birth and death are incredibly emotional events, many emotions I never expected to feel were very inescapable at the time. I don't know how it happens that way, but it does.
