Dang, sorry to hear that. I have the same Roku 3 remote from 2013 and it has functioned just fine for 10 years.

My understanding is that the risk is cumulative --- the more reinfections, the greater the chances for disease

My hypothesis is gradual brain damage / immune damage from reinfections and Long COVID.

Yes, who wouldn't if you care about supporting the broadest number of browsers out there?

And thanks for the reminder, it had been a while. I just discovered a bug in my server config about enforcing SSL --- Chrome apparently makes the switch on the client side automatically, but Edge didn't. I wouldn't have caught this without an Edge test.
