I am not worried about China. Their entire country is a shambles just waiting to collapse from within.

You are highly mistaken in your belief in what I advocate.
I am 100% for a man, or woman, seeking a better life for their family. Thus, I am 100% for immigration. It would not bother me any at all if Congress passed a law enabling immigration at levels we see today. Perhaps even more than what we have today.
The ONLY catch to any of what I just said is I just want the immigration to be reasonably ordered where we vet who is coming in, criminals, terrorists, and disease help no one!
But, we have Republican weasels and Democratic weasels.
Republicans shout from the highest rooftops "We have to stop illegal immigration". Knowing they will NEVER do anything but perhaps temporary fixes. Because they are just like you, and I, they actually want more immigrants.
Democrats say we need "Comprehensive immigration reform" knowing damn well they will never do anything but "Pass a law, then smile at the illegals as they pour through the border." Democrats rather "Get one over on those stupid Republicans."
So, stop putting words into my mouth, you are wrong, and you only hurt your message by pontificating falsehoods upon other people.
Taxpayer money is being spent on illegal aliens. We all know that.
Americans don't care whether it is called "FEMA Money" or "Homeland Security Money" or "Navy Money".
Money is money, it is fungible. Everyone knows this. To argue differently is lying.
When American Citizens are hurting, in need, Americans expect their tax dollars to go to helping American Citizens.
Not to helping illegals.
Is it necessary we go to all the effort to put 50,000 Taco Bells on Mars as well?
Uyghurs. Take a moment to educate yourself.
While the hydrogen bomb's inventors feared how it could be used to devastate human populations, an H-Bomb is a very crude tool. I.E. it is hard to limit its targeting, you get a lot of indiscriminate death.
AI is a tool that will destroy the entirety of society. By causing a rot from within. It will allow those who deploy it to sow dissent where ever desired using the target's own minds against them. It will allow the perpetrators of evil to specifically target individual people with individualized attacks. Such as, looking at Robert's social media accounts AI can deduce that Robert is a believer in XYZ.
AI will know that believers in XYZ are easily manipulated by messages touting a certain flavor of perhaps politics. AI can go person by person to turn us all against each other. For at that point in time the truly smart among us will realize that nothing we see or hear beyond the human standing directly in front of us can be trusted. Those who are not as wise will simply be fooled.
AI will erode the goodwill and trust we depend upon to maintain order within society.
I am afraid the only escape will be to go back to perhaps 1950s levels of technology.
If you don't like the job requirements just quit. It's easy.
Is it some people are so hell bent for leather to eliminate any vestiges of enjoyment in life?
With a huge corporation throwing its weight around via spending $ that none of us could ever afford. Before you say yes because you agree with the outcome be aware the next corporation doing this, perhaps Musk, Inc., might not push things in the direction you desire.
One little problem, Science predicted global cooling 50 years ago.

In the case of Apple, modifying the app to their liking prior to distributing on the store to the end user?
Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
It's fucked.
Pornography and Scammers
Not so much the first, but the second, scammers, will utilize AI so much that they will ultimately make legitimate usages of the tech be put under so much scrutiny as to render it useless. Basically I am saying there will be so many AI scams that people will by necessity cast a doubt on anything they see or hear.
How can you work when the system's so crowded?
