Journal EvilAlien's Journal: Since when doesn't /. look like ass?! 1

I apparently slept through a major facelift for Slashdot. I haven't really been motivated to dive into stories, given the same old "lather, rise, anti-Microsoft, pro-Linux, repeat" cycle and available news for nerds syndicated exactly how I want it to be on my own site(s), and that has meant completely missing /.'s evolution from "portal that looks like ass" to "portal that is actually kinda aesthetically pleasing".

Just another sign that the world is about to end, I guess.

  • You slept through two changes. The first one was very visible and made /. really hard to use. The other was subtle, keeping the looks and restoring some of the old functionality. Score far, far right, "read more" huddled in the right corner and the left corner of the story occupied by lots of junk leading everywhere but to the comments and a few more "features" that sucked so much that they were removed in a hurry,
