  • I haven't had any breakfast you insensitive cod!

I usually get an egg and cheese on wheat toast at the cafeteria at work during the weekday.
  • You caught me on a bad day. Kiddo's running a high fever, so I grabbed a coupla donuts on our way out to Wal-Mart (for lights & Motrin) & to buy a Christmas tree. We're back now, and Kiddo is vegging out on the sofa watching Teletubbies, nursing a sippy cup of ice water.

Kiddo had yogurt, though. Such a healthy eater! :-)

  • A glass of apple juice if I recall correctly. It wasn't memorable, and I've already forgotten a few hours later.
  • Bacon on toast with cheese for me, with two glasses of milk before I shoveled my car out this morning. The boy had squash (I think ... it was orange) and a Melba Toast, and my wife had Eggo's and Bacon.

  • I normally don't eat breakfast, but I do like breakfast foods.

Boo's favorite breakfast is hash browns, eggs (they have to be well done, not runny for both of us), bacon (we both like it floppy, not crispy). She also likes pancakes and sausage links. We both eat syrup on our sausage, but she doesn't on her pancakes, while I normally put a little on mine. I like French Toast, but she isn't that fond of it.

  • Really. Hot grits. Specially imported by my dear parents at great expense, so as to maintain my Southernness at all costs.

    Mmmm, grits. With butter'n'salt. Mmmm.

Otherwise I usually just have a bowl of Muesli with milk, or yogurt and chocolate Muesli. On weekends I sometimes make my wife a big American/English-style breakfast -- eggs, toast, sausages, bacon, etc. Or maybe breakfast sandwiches (muffin, egg, cheese, bacon, maybe Hollandaise sauce).

OK, it's not really an English breakfast -- no beans or to

  • Except on Sunday, when I heat up some croissants and serve with various homemade jams.

(Only 10 hours away, too! *grin*)

  • It's kinda like a bacon and egg sandwitch, but without the bacon because I don't eat bacon, at least not on purpose.

I'm having a sense of deja vu here.....

I've gotten into the habbit of eating a good protein breakfast. What I was doing for a while was having just fruit for breakfast, and then have a big lunch.

Before the fruit thing I was eating muffins and croissants daily for a few years until I just could not stand another muffin or croissant anymore. It has now been long enough that I can eat a muffin

An omlet croissant-which at 4 PM. It's also cool being red5.
  • Yesterday I didn't have breakfast. Today I had a glass of 50% white/50% chocolate milk.
  • Was banana bread french toast, with sauteed cinnamon apples overtop.

Dinner was elk tenderloin, topped with a sundried blueberry reduction, sweet potato & goat cheese au gratin, and grilled veggies. Oh and a lemon tart with grand-marnier infused strawberries.

Nothing like a weekend company christmas party in a beautiful mountain hideaway, with a 5-star chef in charge... you picked a really good day to ask, em!

    Happy, happy tummy... (-:
