Geek by trade, suave Mo Fo by design.

    Don't have a cow man.

White meat. Less gamey taste imo.
  • Better Holiday: Christmas
I love decorating and getting the tree and the cold weather...

    I am a born-again geek. LOL

    Natalie Portman: Emmmmmmm.... Ai Carumba
She is as fine as Carrie Fisher was in New Hope. Emmmmm... that white suit in Clones and Fisher's white gown in New Hope, damn!

    White meat!!!!!
  • Christmas
--Gifts and lots more vacation make it so much better

    Geek
    --Nerd just sounds pathetic

    Natalie Portman: Ai Carumba
    --no brainer

    Both white and dark meat
--It really depends on how well the turkey was prepared. Most of the time the white meat is dry so I prefer the dark meat, otherwise white meat is good too
  • Christmas. With proper vacation planning around that and New Year's, there's more time off work for free.

    Geek.

Natalie Portman: Don't have a cow, man. She's attractive, but not as much as the /. crowd makes her out to be.

White meat. Mmmm. As long as it doesn't get overcooked.

  • it seems i'm just an echo of what everyone else is saying here.

Better Holiday:Thanksgiving or Christmas? christmas. even apart from religious significance, christmas has more traditions for my family. we dig both hollidays, but christmas trumps the all others. it's also nice that the christmas shopping season is over at christmas instead of just gearing up, so there is more relaxation. my parents have the big turkey dinner for both days, so thanksgiving doesn't have much extra to offer over christmas for me.

You are a Geek or a Nerd? i am probably a geek. i can interact with people somewhat. though i do consider myself nerdy in many ways. i am beneath geek.

Natalie Portman: (sorry ladies) Ai Carumba or Don't have a cow, man? she is very easy to look at. i don't have a shrine or anything, but i look. "look but don't touch" is the rule now that i am getting married. but i had better not look too much. my betrothed is 5'11" and is no force to be trifled with ;-)

White meat or Dark? white meat all they way. when i was a kid it was dark meat because my family hadn't discovered the cooking bag yet. the white meat would be a little dry. using the cooking bag keeps it all good and juicy.
  • Better Holiday: Xmas
(X as in Greek for Christ).

    Geek or Nerd: Geek

Natalie Portman: Don't have a cow, man
Anyone see Jack finally sit on her lap last night on the Osbornes?

    White meat or Dark: White
  • Christmas- more decorations, presents (giving and getting), makes people nice and cheery for nearly a month, pretty much the same food as Thanksgiving in my family.

Geek- not computer, but geek nonetheless. I'm going to have to agree with others here and say that nerd just sounds pathetic.

Ai Carumba- In my opinion, Natalie Portman is quite cute.

    White meat
  • Better Holiday: Thanksgiving or Christmas?

No Thanksgiving here in the UK, so just Xmas for moi. And just the pagan feasting and merriment, hold the christianity (and the crass commercialism).

You are a Geek or a Nerd?

Definitely a Geek - unless, that is, your butt needs saving, in which case make that 'Guru' :)

Natalie Portman: (sorry ladies) Ai Carumba or Don't have a cow, man?

Not being a Star Wars freak, I have to say (Mark&Lard-style) "Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo???!!!"

    White meat or Dark?

Both, with cranberry sauce. And I take yours off you, if you're too full... :)
  • Better Holiday:Thanksgiving or Christmas? Definitely Christmas - no Thanksgiving here in Australia.

You are a Geek or a Nerd? Geek.

Natalie Portman: (sorry ladies) Ai Carumba or Don't have a cow, man? Somewhere in between, though leaning more towards the Ai Carumba end of the spectrum...

    White meat or Dark? White.
  • Thanksgiving or Christmas? Christmas -> more time off without buring vacation days !

You are a Geek or a Nerd? I'm in my 40's so that makes me a nerd (proto-geek). Please note that the Geek is a derivative of the nerd. In a class hierarchy the nerd is the super class and the geek inherits the attributes and methods of the nerd and also has a few that the nerd doesn't have like political awareness.

Ai Carumba or Don't have a cow, man? Don't have a cow man (but I really don't have a preference on this one)

White meat or Dark? White meat. Nice breast meat, but a leg or a thiegh is good now and then (yes I am talking about chicken).

  • Better Holiday:Thanksgiving or Christmas?
My two thanksgivings split the non-christmas vote. Causing christmas to win by a landslide.

You are a Geek or a Nerd?
Geeks because i have the shirt and the term is also much more versatile. Movie-geek, music-geek, etc.

Natalie Portman: (sorry ladies) Ai Carumba or Don't have a cow, man?
I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers if that's what you meant.

    White meat or Dark?
    Dark preferably in drumstick format.

    • Neither. Not being American, thanksgiving doesn't really exist for me. Not being a Christian, Christmas doesn't either, but I celebrate midwinter a few days eariler, so I suppose Christmas sneaks through on a technicality :-)
    • Geek, I guess. I don't really tend to label myself. I'm just me! But that said, I fit pretty much the stereotypical geek mould :-)
    • Natalie: Somewhere between the two
    • White meat. I'm a breast man. What can I say? :-)
  • Um, Xmas I guess. I'm not big on holidays in general. Like a lot of other things, I don't get too excited about it in advance. It's great when it gets here, but I don't spend too much time thinking about it beforehand. Then I wake up on the Monday before Xmas and wonder what the hell I'm going to get everyone.

(OT: This year's variation on that theme will include the complications of a visit to the home province [Ontario] to visit three sets of family; my panicked waking-up is scheduled, therefore, for next Monday.)

I tell everyone I'm a geek. A nerd, in my mind, has less social skills. Not that I'm the guy w/the lampshade on my head at a party, but I can usually talk about things besides computers. I know people who can't.

Natalie Portman calls for Ai, Carumba! from me. That smile just...sigh. And she's a good actress too; I really liked Beautiful Girls [imdb.com], though not just for her role. Just ignore Rosie O'Donnell's rants (she's good, but it feels like the writers just took the first "Men are so stupid! Ha ha ha!" stand-up bit they could find and slapped it in) and enjoy the show.

I prefer dark meat; it's moister. Mmmmm.

(Again with the OT: cooked some chicken a while back and found out how easy it is to make gravy: take the juice, dump in some flour, stir. But the real revelation: make it spicy. Throw in fresh pepper 'til your eyes water, and by gosh and by gum is it good. I can't be the only one who's discovered this, so why haven't I heard of this before?)

  • Christmas.
Though not winning out by much.

    Geek.
Like others have said, with geek you can throw many more descriptors in front of it than you would nerd. Though I am also partial to dork.

    Natalie Portman.
I must admit, she is a cutie, though a petite one at that. She is such a tiny thing, how tall is she anyways?

    White meat.
The better to make turkey sandwiches with.

  • The Holiday Battle
Christmas, hands down -- it's my second favorite holiday (Halloween's the best) Besides, there's usually snow!

    The Label Battle
    Imma Geek.

    The Natalie Files
Well, I wouldn't mind looking a little more like Natalie Portman...but whatever.

    The Turkey Decision
    Dark meat. All the way.

  • Xmas (Don't have to visit the inlaws.)

Nerd (I was a nerd back before being a geek was cool.)

Ay Carumba. But her best acting job was in 'Leon'.

Dark when anyone but me cooks it. (Which is my official answer). White when I cook it, because everyone else dries it up like the Iraqi desert.
