    My first wife was horrendously offended by that word. She insisted that you call it tooting.

    Tooting is fun. /reason 4,392 why she's not my wife anymore.
    • What's reason 4,391? I'm just curious as to what's only slightly more important than not saying fart, but was still a reason for divorce. :-)

      I know a woman that hates the work "suck". So if you lost your job and someone says, "That sucks!" She gets offended. One time I asked her why it offended her and she said because she is "a visual person". So I guess when you say that she thinks of fellatio. I wonder what she calls a suction cup?

    Farting is just simple fun compared to that... ;-) Of course, one shouldn't diss simple fun.

    the other night we were out tooling around the block...I was riding my bike...she walking...
    I rode in front of her....shook one leg out as though something were falling down my pant leg...
    and rip'd one...

    it was the first time I've seen her laugh when I farted in 7 yrs! She was still angry and calling me an inconsiderate rude person with no respect...but she was fighting back laughter at the same time...

          Glad to hear it. Hope everyone else does too, because I farted around (sorry) and lost the mod points.

          I saw a sig once that I really liked; can't recall whose name it followed. Paraphrased it was something like this:
          Being modded as funny doesn't increase karma, but being insightful does. Yet being funny requires insight. ...funny.
