Why not ban all security on devices while you're at it?

The app might be used with the headphones, but the headphones don't need the app to operate. You can use the headphones perfectly fine without it, which would mean no data collection.

A) This was not a reused first stage. The first re-launch is scheduled to happen in October with SES-10.
B) The explosion was initiated in or around the SECOND stage during fueling. Even if it had been a reused first stage, that fact would've had nothing to do with it.

I've had a pair of Audio Technica noise cancelling headphones for a while. They're great for getting rid of constant background noise, like on planes, but they don't cancel out talking very much. In fact, I find it easier to understand people while wearing them because it gets rid of the other noise. Demonstrated it to a flight attendant once when she insisted I take them off for the safety lecture (which I practically know by heart anyway..).

Unless I'm playing music loudly, in addition to the noise cancellation, hearing someone yell out my name wouldn't be an issue.

Maybe it's different on that side of the country, but around here, the feds (FBI, Secret Service, DHS, etc.) drive vehicles with "US Government" tags, not state issued tags. As far as I know, they're not actually registered with the state.

Have you seen the extra INFO that is in the INFOtainment system (I really hate that name, FWIW) for some higher end cars, like the GTR?

Android Auto doesn't want this data to send back to the Google farm. Their demos have shown a place for car info to be displayed while staying in Android Auto instead of jumping back to the car's UI. They obviously need to get this data from the car somehow if they're going to do it.

Google already has a source of speed and location data (Maps and Waze). There's no need to get that info from the car via Android Auto.

For me, it wasn't Clarkson, per se, but the chemistry between the three of them. I enjoyed the show, and only a little of that enjoyment came from the cars. It was mostly Clarkson, May, and Hammond.

Now they've got Chris Evans replacing Clarkson and probably a pair of unknowns joining him (open auditions). It's going to take a while for any sort of chemistry to build. I fear it's going to be like Top Gear USA which, at least initially, was trying to copy Top Gear UK with 3 guys who had zero chemistry. It was terrible..
