I thought that your comment was an interesting one. Having people doing what they do best makes some sense to a point. In a Co-Op situation allowing any fixed group of people to just be decision makers and managers will destroy the "Co-Opness" of the company.
To coin a phrase " A person does not live off bread alone." In order for a Co-Op to exsist ( at least IOP) everyone must be at least a little bit of a bureaucrat and a little bit of a manager in order to keep the decision makers honest.
At the center of many arugments there are 2 things that are creating it... those who benefit from the decision and those who gets screwed by it. Management and Bureaucrats needs can and often are in conflict with the workers of a company. With pure specialization of work type, how do the techs of a company challange any unfair policy or decisions made by the decision makers.
