The were name design flaws, but the design also had also many failsafes points which is why a meltdown didn't go like Chernobyl.

Maybe it's more like learning an instrument. If you get good enough with the interface, the interface kinda melts away and you're just making music.

Jaywalking is a crime in many other places too

So? It's a shitty crime bought and paid for by the motor vehicle industry. It's an absolute travesty that it exists and I am glad that the only attempts to introduce it here failed.

Similarly lots of places ban drinking of alcohol in public places, especially at night. Some places even ban public consumption of alcohol at any time, not just late at night, for example:

Right, America, yes. The UK has some alcohol control zones where the police can ask you to stop and move on if you are drinking, but you can drink in public. Nothing wrong with having a drink or two in a public park or beach with a picnic.

Urinating in public is disgusting and should not be done at all.

Well, that's you know, just like, your opinion, man.

Many men's toilets are barely private anyway, being a bunch of urinals or trough with no partitions.

but it would still be disgusting to do in an area that's frequented by others.

That's because it makes things nasty, not that urination is disgusting per-se. Some places have come up with solutions like pop-up urinals, which allow for what is essentially public urination without making the city stink. https://ancillary-proxy.atarimworker.io?url=https%3A%2F%2Fen.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F...

And since you're dreadfully forgetful you also said:

You > This is a thing in literally every country on the planet that has a functional government.

And as I pointed out, it isn't in the UK because as you now know, you don't actually need to carry your driving license with you when you drive. I know you have a very hard problem imagining how any country that isn't full of eagles n' shit functions, but rest assured, we do.

If you donâ(TM)t have the documents with you at the time, you may be asked to take them to a police station within 7 days.

So... yeah. You don't need to. I'm sure you'll try and hyper-fixate on something or other to "prove" you are correct even though it's right there. You must produce it... except if you don't have it you have to show someone later.

If you want to get very techincal it's an offense to not produce it, but showing it within 7 days is always a valid defense. Which means, you don't need to carry your license because there is no penalty for not doing so.

There is no *good* reason for China to attack you.

Unfortunately territorial expansionism is rarely rational, so expecting rationality out of an irrational administration is unwise. The question is not "do they have a reason to attack", but "are they likely to become expansionist" followed by "are you in range".

You said it something as an absolute, these are disgusting things no one should do. You can't have it both ways.

This applies to public places like streets and parks, you can drink at home or in licensed establishments (bars etc).

Yes, and?

But also, Jaywalking? Do you really believe that should be a crime, and one needing severe punishment?
