I agree about the 9:16 monitor, but have had difficulty finding monitors that actually have a decent viewing angle when used that way

This is why (in Opera), I have the tab bar on the right side of the screen.

1) Tabs are a constant width regardless of how many I have open.
2) It's my way of reclaiming wasted space in those narrow column type websites and forcing large horizontal websites to shrink to a more usable width.
