Or better said, the rules apply only for foreigners but not for locals (at discretion of the local official in charge )

Comment If leaked from Lab then good news (Score 0) 290

If the virus really leaked from a the Lab, then we would know the origin of the Virus. Having that Information would have been a great advantage for the Chinese to develop vaccine and pin point the point of origin. They would be the first to come up with hat information. But that was not the case. This lab story if more conspiracy politics than anything else. It is stupid from the ground up. Most probably the virus made the jump from bat to human (with any intermediate step) somewhere else. My suspicion is the trading of wild animals, which was promoted as a way for providing additional income to small villages/farmers. Very bad news for that people who now have that income stream blocked.

Comment Litter should be biodegradable (Score 1) 158

Just make litter biodegradable. Actually that is why it is natural for all animals to litter (humans include). One organism litter is other organisms resource. Are fallen leaves collected in the forest? Or fallen trees? Or the skin of reptiles when the change skin? etc... The problem is that we are producing litter with substances that is not readily usable to other organism. Littering is a natural behavior, we just need to change what our litter is made off.

Comment I avoid the US whenever posible (Score 1) 514

Last time I had to land in the US I got fingerprinted and photographed, just to change from international flight to an American airline flight which was not even bound to an US airport. And this was more than a decade ago. Since then I avoid any landing in US territory and any airline with flights using American Airlines as connection flight. I still remember the face of the customs officer. He looked to be so proud of protecting his country borders... from passengers in transit to an US outbound flight! That was a waste of resources and a way to pishing off people perception of US Curiously now I fly mostly in non American airplanes, but that is unintentional.
