Journal Deamos's Journal: DONE! 5
I AM DONE.
Today was my last day on the job with my old company. My new job starts on July 5th, for now I get to kick back and relax, decompress, etc and prepare to prove myself to a new company.
All in all I'm pretty happy, though it feels a bit strange. I am relieved and all that I have left the company I worked for for over six years finally, but there is a small bit of my mind that is still sad to have left the company I helped to build.
Oh well, I suppose that's to be expected, but it very much feels like I am transitioning between closing a chapter in my life and starting a new one.
I learned a lot from my previous job and look forward to learning even more from the up coming one, it will be great fun to have new challenges to face however and a new company to grow into.
Finally, I'm done. Phew.

as an former-employee-in-recovery i'm psyched for ya. your life will get better. seriously. everyone i know keeps tellin me how much happier i've been the last couple years

If nothing else the heroic amount of stress that seems to have just gone away will make the change worthwhile.
Looking forward to some new challenges and learning some new stuff anyway.
