Interesting how the White House found their "guy" less than 48 hours after Scooter went and got himself indicted.
Can I just ask: is there a shortage of other-than-white-males who are qualified to serve on the court? I mean, it would be nice to have some... diversity on the court - maybe a different perspective than male, white, hetero, married, christian, minivan driver????
Even good ol' Senator Trent Lott says there are good men, women, and minorities out there. And they say the South hasn't changed! Pshaw!
IF Libby goes to trial AND the prosecutors call Bush CO, then we're gonna see some seriously interesting things...
For example, according to the indictment, Libby learned from Cheney himself on June 12, 2003, that Wilson's wife worked in the CIA's counterproliferation division.
Things that make you go hmmmmmmm...
3 years to go leaves ALOT of time for impeachment hearings and more Federal Indictments.
A public trial would expose Cheney for the piece of shit he is and would aim a bright light on how and why the administration sold the nation on the war in Iraq.
I'd pay to see Colin Powell on the stand. And I'd give my right arm to actually see someone cross-examine Bush. I don't think it'd be difficult to get him to trip up...

The ironic thing is that the press is busy crucifying the person who was actually telling the truth to them in leaks instead of the one who was lying.
As for the "what?!? another white man?!?" outrage I'd really be interested in how being red, black, blue, or fuscia with yellow polka-dots should affect how you read a piece of paper.

If you are refering to Libby, then there is that small matter of a Grand Jury indictment. Seems to me that a US Attorney and a Federal Grand Jury think he at the very least lied to them.

The people who informed the press that Wilson's selection for Niger was in fact influenced by his wife and that the information he brought back did not in fact debunk anything were telling the truth.

I like diversity on the land's highest court. I think it's needed... but if this is who the Prez thinks best serves the people, then it's him Constitutional deal to put the man forth.
Personally, I'm just happy he didn't pick the facist-asshat Alberto Gonzalez(sp).
