I have to disagree. There are many differences to Carlin's style and it's not very funny either. It's funny only if you consider The Daily Show type of humor to be funny. (Which is another clue that it was written by a human.)

BLM removed the Marxist and anti-family messages from their website in 2020. I read their web site because I was curious about them after the George Floyd murder. Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza used to openly describe themselves as Marxist, but apparently realized that it was hurting their image. You can still find some old interviews on the internet that they haven't been able to take down.

It seems to me that WhatsApp would have to shut off encryption only for messages to/from other messaging systems. This is reasonable if the user understands that it's the price of interoperability. Signal does something similar already.

Signal and Briar are for different uses. Signal is not perfect, but a vast improvement in security with minimal loss of convenience. Signal can send and receive SMS which lets me stay in contact with my friends who are trapped in Zuckworld.

I've been using Signal almost exclusively for about a year. Text, voice, and video calls. Got most of my friends and family on board. A few friends insist on using Whatsapp exclusively, but Signal lets me text them using SMS.

To use government services, get customer service in a business, talk to a medical professional, lawyer, etc etc etc you must speak their language. If any of these morons had ever lived outside the US, they would know that.

It's completely possible, likely even, that everyone is better off AND there is more inequality. If Jeff Bezos' income goes up 10x any my income 2x I am objectively better off.

The US govt spends incredible resources ensuring that their systems are compliant with mostly meaningless reqts rather than actually secure.
They could hire far fewer people if they had the authority to concentrate on the right things.
