Yes, I'm really a lawyer. Not only that, I'm a registered Patent Attorney. And to make things worse, I write and litigate software patents. So for all of you who think I am evil and can't wait to flame me in the comments section -- like it or not, software patents are here to stay. There is nothing special about software that makes it different from any other invention, except perhaps the ease of reproducing it. People who do not respect others' intellectual property rights and infringe software patents and copyrights are thieves. So flame away - I'm ready.
