Journal Com2Kid's Journal: Somewoman: Do you want to get rich? 7

No "Personal Hygiene" catagory so this will have to do;

Invent an antiperspirant shampoo!

I hate getting out of the shower and stinking 5 minutes later because my head is sweating like mad (this is WITH the vent on in the shower AND the window wide open in my room!)

Irritating!

Not to mention when ever I actually do anything more than just moderatly active, my head sweats like mad, along with my forehead (leading to acne breakouts etc etc etc.)

Now I cannot be the only person in the world with sweat glands on my head, so there must be a market of some sort for this product, and you'd be the only one producing it!

(and my apologies for the Way To Much Information posting)

  • It may not stop the sweating problem, but it'd be funny none-the-less....

Whatdaya mean that won't solve anything??
    • Then he'd just have beads of sweat on his head with nothing to catch them. Although...with a shaved head you would be able to use a regular antiperspirant, but make sure it dries clear. :^)
    • ^_^

My head/hair is so oily, I have it cute super short anyways.

Does help with the sweating SOME, kind of, in the summer and all, less hair, less heat.

      Not quite though.

Aluminum Shampoo. . . Not only prevents sweating, gives your hair that extra shine! :)
  • The problem is that antiperspirants work by using some sort of gunk (usually aluminum chlorohydrate) to plug up pores. How do you spread gunk over your scalp to plug up your pores without coating your hair in gunk?
    • From what I understand, the Aluminum gunk is actually absorbed by the sweat cells.

A properly designed product may need to soak into the scalp for a few minutes, but the delivery mechanism could be washed off afterwords.

IIRC most soaps are supposed to be soaked for a while, but umm, does anybody actually do that? ^_^

Then again, heck, if it stopped the sweating, I'd soak it for 10 or 15 min. :)

      • Try this:

Get your shampoo and you antiperspirant and dump them in a blender minus the plastic bits. Blend it on high until it's nice and smooth, then pour back into the shampoo bottle. Since my antiperspirant doesn't seem to do anything to my underarm hair I would think that it wouldn't mess with the hair on your head. I would however avoid getting any of the mixture in my eyes.
        • You see, the difference between you and SomeWoman is that if SW went and made an antiperspirant shampoo, she would have to get FDA approval to market it and so forth.

Your idea on the other hand, ah, blender ! FDA approval.

That, and different types of sweat glands, not sure it'd work at all.

Hmm maybe that is why nobody has made it yet.
