Even after you test a Model 3, how do you rate its reliability against any car with an internal combustion engine?

Take a look at the top 10 car repairs of 2015: (From http://blog.credit.com/2016/04...)

Replacing an oxygen sensor – $249
        Replacing a catalytic converter – $1,153
        Replacing ignition coil(s) and spark plug(s) – $390
Tightening or replacing a fuel cap – $15
        Thermostat replacement – $210
        Replacing ignition coil(s) – $236
Mass air flow sensor replacement – $382
        Replacing spark plug wire(s) and spark plug(s) – $331
Replacing evaporative emissions (EVAP) purge control valve – $168
Replacing evaporate emissions (EVAP) purging solenoid – $184

The model 3 doesn't even have any of these parts.

I live in Denver, CO. Obviously we have cold winters here. The good news for me is that when I would notice the problem, I would yank the damn thing off the wall and let it completely die. That is the only way to fix it. That would fix it for about 5 days or so, before it would happen again. Additionally, I have a home that has 3 stories that face south. No shade. So, once about 9 AM rolls around, my heat won't kick in all day until about 6 PM. At that point, we have a fireplace we use as well. This would be a much larger problem for me in the summer for running AC. At that point - yes, I would have yanked the stupid thing off the wall and put back my other thermostat that I still have laying on a shelf in the basement.

Yesterday at 5:38 PM, my nest got an update to version 5.1.6rc4. Since that time, it hasn't dropped offline due to low battery. Not that it won't in the future... but this is supposedly the fixed version. It took them 2 months to fix it! My thermostat started displaying this behavior on November 17th under version 5.1.3rc1. And before anybody asks - yes, I have the common wire hooked up and it's worked fine for over 3 years that way. Up until version 5.1.3rc1 that is. I want to know why in the hell it took them 2 months to fix this issue. At the very least, they should have rolled the broken code back to an earlier version.

I haven't had a bad experience there personally. They don't give you much for used games and consoles, but then again, when I've tried to sell the stuff on ebay or craigslist, I haven't made enough of a difference where I think they could have offered me any more and still made money. It's cheaper to buy a game from them than grab it brand new somewhere, if you don't mind waiting a month or two after one comes out.

Everybody seems to think this is a bad idea. However, I think it's awesome. There are gamestops everywhere around my house. Probably 5 within 10 miles in any direction. Imagine if those places carried more than used games and consoles. Imagine for a moment that they also carry the same cool stuff that you would normally want to buy, but the shipping costs might have turned you away.

Personally, I think this is great news. My T-shirt collection will probably double in size over the next year.
