Comment Too costly (Score 0) 152

I am not trolling, I do not understand the target market for this costly laptop.
1. Developers would rather have lots of RAM and disk space, they can have those systems with better CPU for far less than what this thing costs
2. Obviously not for gamers, the system does not have powerful GPU
3. Regular users now are moving away from laptop.
MS had to write off on Surface inventory recently as well. What does MS achieve from this Surface book and Surface Pro when it is not making profit?

Obama and Duncan sends their children to schools that refuse to associate with the policies that these guys says good for kids. (Usually the pretense of NOT sending kids to public school is security, here Duncan goes on to say they are doing it to keep it simple.) May be their kids are beyond these policies. Like erstwhile Soviet Union, all are equal but some are more equal.

Comment How to promote without really promoting (Score 2, Interesting) 147

This is the classic example of how to promote without really promoting.
Take this line from the article. It should say it all

"The promotion will leave Ive with more time to travel around Apple's vast retail empire and bring his touch to the company's stores around the globe, while leading the design of Apple's new campus which has capacity for 13,000 Apple employees."

He might have been a disaster as a manager. Now they want to replace him.
