I loved our Olds Super 88 Holiday, monster 4 barrel carb and 4 speed automatic. At 70 mph you floor it and it shifts into "passing gear" and you hear those 2 large barrels sucking air as it plants you deep into the seats.:) It's even more impressive if you consider how much it weighs.
I cannot log into my Home Depot account anymore, not even if I switch to Safari. I tried by turning off my privacy apps and still not able to sign in. Not gonna install Chrome, no way. Time to kill the HD credit card.
Forgot to mention, the Montgomery Ward microwave we got in 1963 just died. Cost 400$ in those days. The new LG is much bigger, more powerful, uses less energy, huge dish rotates, we love it. My inflation calculator says that the 400$ price is now $4,245.75. Out the door at Home Depot for 2K $ the LG is actually 1/2 price.:)
Got my Meile S312, the red one, on 06/22/1999. After repairs I did myself, it still works well. At 759.44$ not cheap, but my friend has been thru 5 or 6 vacuums since then. His most recent one broke last week.:)
Love their batteries. Used Durascells for long time now they start leaking years before the date code. I was taking everything using these batts apart inspecting for leakage 3 tomes a year. Then noticed that anything I get that comes with AA or AAA batteries never leak. Just looking at the construction shows marked differences. I get the Panasonic platinum power batteries from Home Depot almost as cheap as Coppertops from Costco.:)
I am fine with Firefox 115.25.0esr (64-bit) . Duckduckgo privacy, port authority, privacy badger, uBlock Orgin, as addons. I clear history and clear data after closing each web page.
I dislike the upper management of WF.
But I really like the people in my local branch. I do not use the ATM, the tellers call me by name and I got a really big safe deposit box added, now have 2 at a large discount. Swap one of the two 8T Seagate Ironwolf Pros every 2 or 3 weeks. No off site back-up means really no back-up. Am very happy with my local branch, not looking to switch. YMMV:)
When the effects of the BBB start hitting the MAGAS the Dems will kill them in the mid-terms and if they get both chambers can reverse this BBB BS before too much lasting damage occurs???
I have my e-mail client set to "not load remote content in messages". So they do not even know if I got it. The "load Remote Content" dialogue box appears in almost every e-mail I get. But that's MY choice.:)
DPP 4 is a free down-load from Canon. I have not used any Adobe product since PS 5.5... The newer bodies from Canon make really good JPEG's, if the AWB is off I use the curves tool to adjust. You can get better noise reduction software, esp for 90D or really high ISO on 7D mk2, but not Adobe, their DAM is not that good anymore either.
Still using original OS on my 2018 imac Pro, see no reason to change. It's still the same as it always was, buy for the OS, get software that works from others. Had to erase the SSD and replace from back-up twice. Not buying the "new" mirrorless DSLR's either:)
Did have to replace the PS brick on my LaCie 2Big 8, same thing used on many laptops.
Have to clean out the lint trap on the bottom of the case again, made a fitting for the vaccum cleaner and now using small brush instead of pipe cleaner.
