Journal BlueRockGirl's Journal: The Evil Empire has its hand in everything....

So I finally got around to looking for the MechAssault game for xbox which will allow the Linux installer to run on my soldered xbox. When I was out shopping a few weeks ago, the targeted store was close to a GameStop, so I ran in to GameStop looking for a copy of MechAssault.

When I tell the proprietor that I'm looking for a game that will let me load Linux on my xbox, he shakes his head and says 'the company' doesn't sell that game any more because it allows Linux to run on the xbox. I thank him and mutter something about the Evil Empire. Eventually, I get it on eBay so I can check it off my to-do list.

Next step: bring the xbox home from work (where it's been sitting in a plastic bag for the past two years) and fire it up. I might get around to this step in a month or two.
