Didn't San Francisco have massive protests against tech workers, claiming they were gentrifying everything, driving up costs, etc? Sorry mayor, you cannot have it both ways. And yes, having to deal with crime, homeless, and shit on the sidewalks did contribute to Macy's having no customers and closing in SF no matter how you spin it. Not only are the former residents not coming back, the former tourists aren't either.

Are you out of your mind? The UK healthcare system is on the verge of collapse. And the waiting time to be seen is in months. Not to mention the strikes by nurses and doctors because they are PAID SO LOW. I'd say a few grand per person per year in the US is worth it to actually be able to receive care in the first place.

I wonder how much of this is really driven by 26 countries wanting to stick it to the German manufacturing base.
