There are quiet a few automated sorting/recycling startups in the works, there is a large one operating out of OH/IN. The technology isnt new, its sensor based sorting. The entire setup is done by machines to sort valuable materials from real garbage. Not a single human is expected to touch the material, just tend to the machines. As far as the plastics go, you need a alternative, everything from consumer goods (the real volume of waste) to medical use cases. Its ok to have plastics, just not in the volume of disposable consumer goods. No one will accept buying a a more expensive glass jar of toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, etc. How do you take your food home from a restaurant? Why do restaurants automatically give you plastic fork/spoons when most dont use them? Plastics are everywhere.

So let me get this straight, all new homes will get solar? So day 1 you drive bolts through the shingles, (assume asphalt) you immediately lose the warranty on a new roof. Fun times with regulation. Instead of making homes utility companies, make utility companies utility company better with green energy.

My Honda ridgeline has a 5ft4in bed length. A base F150 has a 5.5ft bed length (2in longer than a ridgeline which is not a real truck). Both need flags, whats your point? So the ridge line was never a real truck but has a reasonable bed fitting a 4ft wide plank flat. A base F150 which is a real truck but still needs a flag like a ridgeline. move along.

The crossover conversion kit doesnt add doors, it adds seats, air bags, cover and rollover bars, and optionally a rear mounted tire. Lets say you brave and attempt 3x200lbs of human weight, that leaves you 800lbs of steel and composite cover. Plenty. The seats wont be plush by any means. Aint no body fitting 600lbs of rear human meat in a 2 door vehicle.

I can gurantee the panels are designed to last at min the warranty period (3yrs+ is standard), and probably a little more than that. OEMs dont like warranty claims. Based on the concept of modular upgrades, its likely the aftermarket will offer options if you opt to go another route if the panels fail. Only time will tell.

Americans can design trucks anyway they want because they are the largest truck market. Kei trucks are Kei trucks because Tokyo and other Japanese cities are dense with little room for vehicles. And yes, this truck looks good low to the ground with the wheels pushed as far as it can to the corners.
