Comment One BIG strike against Pale Moon, though (Score 1) 96

I was all ready to make Pale Moon my ONLY browser until I discovered that it just plain SUCKS for streaming video sites. YouTube videos never start, and the developer stubbornly REFUSES to include the Widevine DRM extension essential for Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, etc.

So it remains an interesting curiosity and helpful for debugging web code, but useless as an "only browser" or "primary browser." Sad, because it has real potential.

Years ago the bulb on my Epson Scanner burnt out. Replacing a bulb should be a simple repair, right? No... there wasn't any way I could even figure out how to open the unit to get to the bulb to replace it. Searching around I found a local Epson repair center and what they wanted to replace the bulb was TWICE the price of just buying a new scanner!!

Comment Worked part time in an office (Score 1) 122

I was part of a group that the company used to explore the possibility of people returning to the office full time. I was working three days a week in the office, two days a week from home. Unfortunately, that all changed in December when I was struck by a truck while riding my motorcycle back from lunch. Since then, I've been working from home full time till my leg is fully healed.

Comment THANK YOU!! (Score 1) 411

I thought I was alone on this one. I can't stand these wide-screen displays on laptops or even computer monitors. The FEW times I watch movies on them, I don't care about the "distracting black bars" at the top and bottom. MOST of the time I'm on the computer, I'm doing WORK which means READING and WRITING. I prefer working top to bottom without having to constantly keep scrolling.

If I want to watch a movie or a show on the computer, I'm more than likely to plug in an HDMI cable and watch it on my 65" television, not on my 15" laptop screen.
